Exploring Medications Add-On Feature
This article will guide you through the Medications feature available within the Cloud DX Connected Health Clinical Portal.

This is a paid add-on feature and requires the New Patient Profile View to be used. Please connect with your DST representative to learn more about pricing, training requirements, and how to enable it for your team.
1. Adding Patient Medications
Adding and modifying patient medications is done on a per patient basis. To add a medication to a patient account select and open the patient profile from the Patient Tab or the Main Dashboard.
Within the Patient Profile select Quick Actions, Medications
2. Adding a New Medication
To add a new Medication, select Add Medication +.
A pop-up will appear, enabling the clinician to log the Medication:
- Medication: Start to type the name of Medication (first 3 characters at minimum) and all applicable options will appear, select the appropriate Medication from the list.
- Route: Begin to type the route (first 3 characters at minimum) and select the route of the medication administration from the dropdown, ie. Oral or Intravenous.
- Dose: Enter the prescribed dose of the medication.
- Frequency: Using the dropdown, determine the frequency. Ie. PRN, Q2H, ect.
- Start Date: Log when the patient started the medication.
- Stop Date: Optional, log the Stop Date (if known).
Once complete, click Save.
All logged medications will be listed within the Medications Screen and will include the Medication name, Route, Start and Stop dates, and Frequency.
3. Edit Medications
To edit a Medication, select Edit beside the Medication you are looking to adjust. Apply your edits and click Save.
4. Updating the Medication Status
To change the status of a Medication, select Change Status beside the Medication you are looking to update.
Using the Status dropdown, select the status that you would like applied to the medication. Once selected, input a reason for the Medication Status Update and select Save.
Once saved, the status change will be applied to the medication.
5. Adding a Note
To notate a medication select Add Note.
Enter the Title of the Note, add the applicable note under the Text section and click Save.
