Enabling Remote Patient Monitoring

In the 'Exploring: Clients' article you learned about the 'Send remote monitoring invitation' option. This option allows you to send an email invitation to your client to establish a link between your Client Record and the client’s personal account.  This article provides more details about the process.

2. Create a New Client

Start by clicking on the 'Clients' tab.

Click 'New Client'.

  1. To create a new client you are required to enter a First name, Last name, Client ID, and Email.  All other fields in the New Client form are optional.  You can always edit the client form later if you decide to start tracking additional fields.
  2. Tick the check box that reads 'Send remote monitoring invitation'.
  3. Click 'Save'.

3. Client's Email Invitation

The client will receive an email similar to the one below. To accept the invitation they should click the link provided in the email. The link will send the client to the Remote Monitoring Invitation page. Here they can review the request and register a new account or log in with an existing account.

4. Client's Remote Monitoring Invitation Page

When a client clicks the link to accept the Remote Monitoring invitation they will be redirected to the screen below.

  1. The Remote Monitoring Invitation page details who the invitation was from, who it was sent to and the permissions that will be granted if the client accepts the invitation. To accept the invitation the client must tick the check box to allow the clinician access to monitor readings and agree to the Terms of Service.
  2. Lastly, the client will have to either log in to an existing account or register for one.

Log In: With an existing account - When a client logs in with an existing Pulsewave account the system links the Professional’s Client Record and the Client’s personal (home) account.

Register: To create a new account - When a client registers for a new account they gain access to view their readings taken by the Professional.

5. Send Invitation At a Later Date

To can send an invitation at a later date click on the 'Clients' tab.

Locate and click on your client's name.
