Configuring Notifications

The Client Management System allows professionals to generate notifications whenever client readings vary outside defined trigger thresholds.

Configuring Notifications

To configure thresholds for a client, first select the client and then navigate to the Navigations tab.   Two types of reading triggers can be configured for a client, Threshold triggers and Delta triggers.

Threshold Triggers

Threshold Triggers

To configure a Threshold trigger, click the Add New Trigger button.  Select the result type to configure a trigger on.   A low threshold and/or a high threshold can be configured.   If a reading is observed above the high threshold or below the low threshold a notification email will be sent to the configured notification subscribers.   By default, the CMS professional account and client are selected as notification subscribers.

Delta Triggers

Delta Triggers

To configure a Delta trigger, click the corresponding Add New Trigger button.  Select the result type to configure a trigger on.   Enter the trend window in the number of days.   The trend window will determine the number of historical readings which will be used to analyze a trend.   Trends can be detected in terms of percentages or absolute units.   The direction of trend to detect must also be specified.   For example, to trigger on weight gain, the direction should be set to Rise.   To trigger on weight loss, the direction should be set to Decline.

An event note is also automatically added to the client notes record and a bell icon will appear on the client row in the CMS dashboard.   If the client notes are not reviewed within 24 hours of a trigger event the bell icon will blink.   To dismiss the bell icon right-click a bell icon and select Dismiss Alert(s).
