Report Generation Enhancement: Add Notes to Patient Level Reports

We've enhanced the Reports workflow to give clinicians greater flexibility when preparing reports for review, documentation, or sharing.

What’s New

Clinicians can now enter notes directly on the report generation page before creating a Vital Signs or Survey Score report. Any text entered will automatically populate the report’s Notes section, eliminating the need to handwrite or stamp information after printing.

How It Helps

This enhancement allows clinicians to:

  • Include relevant clinical context directly within the generated report
  • Reduce manual documentation after printing
  • Create more complete and professional reports in a single workflow
  • Maintain consistency across shared and archived reports

Additional Details

  • A dedicated Notes field is now available on the report generation page
  • Notes support up to 500 characters, with a visible character counter
  • Notes entered are included automatically in the generated report's Notes section
  • If no notes are entered, the report will continue to display a blank Notes section for handwritten annotations, preserving existing functionality
  • Notes are not saved to the patient record or retained between report generations
  • This enhancement is available for both Vital Signs Reports and Survey Score Report

Tips

  • Notes entered during report generation are only used for the current report and will not be saved for future use
  • The Notes field resets each time a new report is generated
  • Multi-line notes are supported and will be formatted appropriately within the report
  • Leaving the Notes field blank will generate the report with an empty Notes section, allowing for handwritten notes if preferred
