Connected Health Application High Contrast Mode
This update introduces a High Contrast option to improve accessibility for patients with vision impairments, providing higher contrast text, icons, and interface elements to ensure easier navigation and usability across both BYOD and Cloud DX devices.
🔒 Hidden Feature: This feature is available but must be toggled on by the patient in order to be used.
1. Turn High Contrast on
- Log in to the Connected Health App.
- Open the Menu.
- Go to Settings.
- Toggle on “High Contrast”
This feature can be toggled on or off at any time in the app settings. By default, it is off unless your program requires it.
2. View in High Contrast
-
The app will display with:
- Black background
- Black and White Buttons
All in-app functional colours remain the same (e.g., success green check, target range colours).
3. Device Compatibility
- Works on both BYOD (Android devices, IOS soon to come) and Cloud DX tablets.
- On personal devices, the app will adapt if the device’s native Dark Mode is enabled.
4. Feature Management
This feature is flexible and can be enabled based on patient or program needs:
- New patients: Toggle the feature on during onboarding if high contrast mode will support their care.
- Programs managed by Cloud DX logistics: Ask your DST representative to enable the feature for all kits.
- Existing patients: If current participants would benefit, guide them on how to toggle it on/off, or contact Cloud DX Support to assist directly.
