Reading Preview in Send Reading Pop Up
This feature allows patients to preview their Bluetooth readings in the Send Reading pop-up before submission, giving them the choice to self-manage or retake the measurement. By enabling this, patients ensure accurate readings are sent, reducing false alerts and lowering clinician workload while supporting long-term preventive care.
🔒 Hidden Feature: This feature will be available but must be toggled on by the patient in order to be used.
1. Enable Reading Preview
- Log in to the Connected Health App.
- Open the Menu.
- Toggle on “Enable Reading Preview.”
This feature can be toggled on or off at any time in the app settings. By default, it is off unless your program requires it.
2. Capture a Reading
- Take a Bluetooth or manual vital sign reading as usual (e.g., SpO₂, blood pressure).
- The reading value will appear in the Send Reading pop-up before submission.
3. Decide on Next Steps
- Submit (Green Button): Submits the reading.
- Cancel/Retake (Orange Button): Cancels submission so the patient can follow self-management steps and retake the reading when ready.
Including this feature empowers patients on a self-management journey by allowing them to review their reading before sending. If the result doesn’t reflect their true status, they can cancel, follow their self-management steps, retake the measurement, and resend the appropriate reading—ensuring accuracy, reducing unnecessary clinician alerts, and building patient confidence in managing their own health.
4. Guidance After Cancel/Retake
A message will confirm that the reading was not sent and will encourage patients on next steps:
5. Feature Management
This feature is flexible and can be enabled based on patient or program needs:
- New patients: Toggle the feature on during onboarding if previewing readings will support their care.
- Programs managed by Cloud DX logistics: Ask your DST representative to enable the feature for all kits.
- Existing patients: If current participants would benefit, guide them on how to toggle it on/off, or contact Cloud DX Support to assist directly.
