How to Take a Oximeter Reading Using the Canadian Contec® Oximeter
This article will show you how to take a oximeter reading using the plug-in oximeter from Contec®, currently offered in Canada.
1. Start by plugging the USB cable into the oximeter.
2. Connect the USB cable with the Micro USB cable.
3. Insert the other end of the Micro USB cable into the slot labeled 'USB' on your Connected Health Tablet.
4. Wait a few moments as your tablet detects the oximeter.
5. Press and hold the power button on your oximeter until it lights up.
6. Squeeze the device to open then insert a finger. Tap 'Next' on your device.
7. Follow the on-screen directions. Tap 'Next'.
8. Your reading will be shown in real-time on-screen. Tapping the 'Stop' button will instantly stop the device from continuing a reading.
9. Send Reading
After the reading is complete, you will be prompted to send the reading to the server. Click 'Send Reading'. If desired, tap anywhere in the 'Notes' field to add notes. If you do not wish to see the 'Add a Note' pop-up, tick the 'Do not show again' box.
10. Your results will be displayed on-screen.
