How to Add Companion Apps Onto Your Android Smartphone
Your Connected Health Station was designed to be set up at home or in an office setting. Cloud DX offers a free “Companion App” for Android devices. The Companion App keeps you connected to your Cloud DX account while you're on the go. While using the Companion App you can:
- Receive Notifications, Alerts and Reminders from your Cloud DX Schedule
- View all your Health News content on-the-go
- View and complete your Health Surveys
- If enabled, you can also send & receive secure Text Messages as if you were on your main Cloud DX Tablet
- Certain Cloud DX wireless medical devices can be used with a Companion App if enabled by your clinician, including the Oximeter, Scale, Glucose Meter and Thermometer. This helps the user take certain readings while away from the main Health Tablet. (For example, the scale may be in another room from the Health Tablet - just take your phone with you to record your weight.)
To ensure you are receiving all your reminders, notifications and alerts while on the go, we recommend downloading the free Pulsewave DX app onto your Android smartphone. This article will show you how.
A version of this app for iPhone will be available in early 2018.
1. Download PulsewaveDX
On your device, go to the Apps section. Tap the 'Play Store' app. When the app opens, search for 'PulsewaveDX'.
2. Install App
Click the Install button. Click 'Accept' when promoted to begin downloading.
3. Launching App
Tap the 'Connected Health' App to launch app.
4. Terms & Conditions
Follow the on-screen instructions to accept Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
By using our Services, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Please read them carefully, then tap 'Accept'. Choosing to 'Decline' will prevent you from using our app and Services.
5. Sign In
Sign in to an existing account or create one to proceed. Tap 'Login'.
Registered users will see a pop-up asking them if they would like to sync reading reminders to their device. Selecting 'Yes' will ensure you get the best user experience.
6. Main Menu
This companion app is a duplicate of the software on your tablet from Cloud DX.
You can see all your Connected Health data and content on your phone. You can even take readings with your Android phone if you are away from your Health Station.
